2. Share success or challenge
Ken Conn: Challenge - VC from home and getting audio to work, USB headset seems to work in ClearSea, Skype audio seemed to be more flexible

Linda Dickeson: (2) Challenges = (1) new office building, vc not set-up in conference rooms yet, so have to vc from cubicles - (2) support through desktop vc for homebound students using scopia radvision client, have a point person to help get things set-up, started getting requests for students with behavior issues that need to be removed from classroom & need to get the process set-up for that scenario

Anne Herndon: Challenge: what’s next, been doing vc for 10 years, is it desktop?, a new format?, waiting for next wave

Mark Johnson: Challenge: getting teachers that have never done vc to try it, once they do it, love it & are repeat users - another challenge is replacing the equipment, looking at refurbished & getting donations for new units - Success: have already had (5) vc’s since September with people signing up for later in the school year, have some schools that are running on their own with very little direct assistance, a couple of schools still working with on getting to that level - Linda McDonald mentioned 123VC workshop, 123vc.pbworks.com, for professional development

Audra May: Success: making the ACVC session, been wanting to attend since learned about it last year - Challenge: grant for state network/bridge expired & everyone had to find their own network access, has pushed more responsibilities onto teachers as well

Linda McDonald: Challenge: training piece, Houston ISD not using their H.323 videoconferencing systems, so have decided not to purchase them any longer - excitement of exploring cloud services & mobile solutions

Carol Teitelman: Challenges: similar to others - folks running networks at member districts make changes over summer that cause issues where they were resolved or didn’t occur previously - Success: teachers who attended 123VC session were able to receive a loaner LifeSize unit to use - another success is using vgocom.com units for homebound students - Kip Robins at Region 6,

, ~$6,000 for wifi model (instead of 3/4G)
