Reflective Question (you can post your responses in comments below)
WHAT DOES INTERACTIVITY MEAN??

·         getting kids up out of seats (not sit & get)
·         feedback
·         making the technology disappears
·         learners are actively involved which results in furthering understanding
When developing programs Ann recommend that the first question you ask is, "What are the learners going to do?” Providing resource materials for pre/post vc activities helps facilitate interactivity. One objective Fort Worth Museum still wants to concur is moving to family level after program

Navigating the sea of research Ann recommends 2004 wainhouse research whitepaper,  a GREAT piece to justify vc called “Taking the wraps off vc in u.s. classroom” by Alan Greenberg.  Click here for the 2009 update.

Discussion of multi-part programs

·         can a shoebox fly program with NASA is a 3 part vc activity - teachers like it but they feel like it takes too much time for one curricular objective
·         other interactivity ideas - mysteryquest, game shows (jeopardy, are you smarter than a 5th grader), riddles, using food (icing & graham crackers)
·         interactivity often depends on the teacher & the content area
·         getting to know learner names
